YouTube and X Drove 5.7 Million Visits to Nudify Apps, ISD Report Finds

Summary
5.7 million visits reached 10 leading nudify sites from social platforms between December 2025 and March 2026, with YouTube sending 1.82 million and X more than 1.3 million, according to ISD.
YouTube traffic came from easily found videos tied to searches like “undress app” that reviewed tools, shared promo codes and linked users directly to sites, which ISD said conflicts with the platform’s own rules.
Some nudify services charge as little as $1 per image yet may generate a combined $36 million a year, while targets commonly include ex-partners and relatives and some users seek to damage victims’ jobs and reputations.
The findings land despite a U.S. law requiring platforms to remove reported nonconsensual intimate images within 48 hours and new state action, including Minnesota’s May 2026 ban on nudification apps.
