Samsung published step-by-step instructions for making contactless payments with Samsung Wallet on Galaxy Watch, highlighting checkout from the wrist as a core use case.
Setup requires users to hold the watch’s Back button, start Wallet, set a PIN or pattern if needed on the watch, then add and activate at least 1 compatible payment card on a connected Galaxy smartphone.
Payments are made by holding the Back button, swiping to a card and tapping the watch near a contactless terminal; Samsung said compatible IDs, membership cards, boarding passes and transit cards also work after phone registration.
July 22 is the next key date: Samsung tied the guide to its upcoming Galaxy Unpacked stream and promoted a $30 pre-order credit, up to $1,230 in total savings and 10 sweepstakes prizes worth $500 each.
