Daveigh Chase, the actor who voiced Lilo in Lilo & Stitch and Chihiro in the English Spirited Away, died at 35 in a Los Angeles hospital, her manager confirmed.
Sepsis killed Chase after she suffered from meningitis; manager John Ryan Jr. said she had also been admitted for malnourishment before her death.
Chase began acting at 4, landed an early TV role on Sabrina the Teenage Witch at 7, and broke out in 2002 as Samara Morgan in The Ring.
That same year, her voice work as Lilo earned an Annie Award, cementing a career defined by standout child and teen performances in horror and animation.
