A Houston DoorDash driver finished a delivery after a fleeing burglary suspect struck her with a car and knocked the order into the street.
Police said Torrance Whitaker refused to stop during an attempted traffic stop, hit the driver, then ran through neighborhood yards before a K-9 unit caught him.
Court documents cited by KTRK show Whitaker was charged with aggravated assault for hitting the driver while fleeing police.
The driver, who declined to be identified, told KTRK she is in significant pain but suffered no broken bones and is considering an insurance claim against the suspect.
