Flash flood warnings remained in effect Monday morning for Tarrant, Henderson, Navarro and Smith counties after slow-moving storms dumped up to 5-6 inches of rain across parts of North Texas.
Lewisville took the heaviest hit with 5-6 inches before rain eased, while White Settlement saw 3-4 inches and North Richland Hills about 3 inches, quickly flooding low-lying and poor-drainage areas.
The storm cell drifted east into Dallas and Van Zandt counties, prompting additional flood advisories in Denton, Collin, Navarro and Henderson counties even though no severe weather was reported.
A stalled weak boundary and upper-level disturbance are driving the multi-day rain event, which is knocking highs down from last week's triple digits into the upper 80s and low 90s through midweek before upper 90s return by Sunday.
