74 kilograms of gold and more than $15 million in U.S., Singapore and other currencies were recovered from a house linked to Febrie Adriansyah, police said.
Febrie, until last week Indonesia’s deputy attorney general for special crimes, is now suspected of corruption in a case that has jolted the country’s law-enforcement establishment.
Seven suitcases, a locked safe, rows of gold bars and stacks of cash became the defining evidence images in what is shaping up as one of Indonesia’s biggest legal-sector scandals in years.
