Mariners Add 16 Day 2 Draft Picks After Taking Ace Reese at No. 24

Seattle entered Day 2 of the 2026 MLB Draft with 16 selections to make across Rounds 5-20 after opening its class with four picks on Day 1.
Ace Reese, a Mississippi State third baseman, headlined the Mariners' first day as the No. 24 overall pick, followed by outfielder Jake Brown at No. 65, right-hander Nathan Taylor at No. 101 and third baseman Trevor Lucas at No. 129.
Hayden Yost became Seattle's fifth-round choice at No. 162 overall; the 21-year-old Florida outfielder hit .262 with 10 home runs, a .369 OBP and a .589 slugging percentage in 2026.
Day 2 completes the draft in Philadelphia, where clubs use Rounds 5-20 to fill out their classes and manage bonus-pool decisions on later-round prospects.
