USA 250: Atlantic Connections opened on July 7 at the Irish Linen Centre & Lisburn Museum, spotlighting Lisburn and Castlereagh’s historic links with the United States.
The exhibition was staged to mark 250 years since the 1776 American Declaration of Independence, using local people, places and stories to trace Atlantic ties before and after that break from Britain.
Cllr Bronagh Magee officially opened the show, with Mayor Brian Higginson attending the launch for Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council.
The free exhibition requires no booking and will remain on display until December 2026, giving residents and visitors an extended run to view it.
