Saskatchewan Youth Employment Rises by 2,400 as Jobless Rate Falls to 11.1%

11.1% marked Saskatchewan’s youth unemployment rate in June, down from 13.2% in May and 12.1% a year earlier.
2,400 more young people were employed than in June 2025, a 2.6% increase that Statistics Canada said reflected stronger summer hiring.
12.7% was the national youth unemployment rate, leaving Saskatchewan with the third-lowest provincial youth jobless rate in the country.
3,400 jobs have been added in Saskatchewan so far this year, while the province’s overall unemployment rate held at 6.1% versus 6.5% nationally.
