Belden unveiled the ProSoft Technology ELX3 ProLinx Edge Gateway, a rugged Docker-based device that combines OT protocol conversion, on-device data acquisition and CPU-level analytics for harsh industrial environments.
The gateway is designed to run AI inference, support digital twins and predictive maintenance at the machine level, extending Belden’s push into higher-value edge and software offerings across sectors including oil and gas and logistics.
That launch builds on Belden’s June 2026 OT/IT networking releases — including LioN X IO-Link modules, GREYHOUND switches and a Virtual Firewall — reinforcing its strategy around converged industrial networks and cybersecurity.
For investors, the product strengthens Belden’s solutions-led growth narrative but does not change the nearer-term debate over order momentum and whether higher Smart Infrastructure and edge spending could pressure margins if demand weakens.
Belden’s longer-term narrative points to $3.3 billion in revenue and $370.1 million in earnings by 2029, implying 5.9% annual revenue growth from current levels.
