Snow Patrol, Kylie Minogue Release 'These Alarms' as Band Nears 'Chasing Cars' 20th Anniversary

Snow Patrol and Kylie Minogue released and premiered “These Alarms” last week, with Gary Lightbody saying the pair sing the whole track in unison rather than trading lines.
The collaboration began after Lightbody heard Minogue was seeking new songs; he wrote “These Alarms” for her and said the demo was labeled “KYLIE” throughout recording.
The song arrives after a turbulent stretch for Snow Patrol: drummer Jonny Quinn and bassist Paul Wilson quit in 2023, and the remaining trio scrapped one attempted album before regrouping.
Fraser T Smith helped steer that reset into 2024 album “The Forest is the Path,” which earned the Northern Irish band some of its strongest reviews in 20 years.
The release also lands as Snow Patrol prepare 2 Royal Albert Hall shows later this year to mark the 20th anniversary of “Chasing Cars,” now streamed more than 2 billion times.
