IDC placed D-Wave Quantum in the Leader category of its 2026 worldwide quantum computing vendor assessment, citing both current capabilities and future strategy.
More than 200 million problems have been submitted to D-Wave systems, while Advantage2 usage rose 314% year over year and Stride hybrid solver usage grew 114% in the six months to early 2026.
IDC highlighted D-Wave’s enterprise stack—including Leap, Ocean SDK, Stride and LaunchPad—for helping customers tackle optimization problems with up to 2 million variables without dedicated quantum programming expertise.
The report also pointed to D-Wave’s roadmap beyond annealing, targeting a 10-logical-qubit gate-model system by 2030 and a 100-logical-qubit system by 2032 for early quantum chemistry and AI workloads.
