July 8—nubia unveiled the Neo 5 GT Special Edition, a gaming phone it says is the first in its class to pair liquid and air active cooling.
The AquaCore system combines a piezoelectric micropump, AI server-grade non-conductive coolant, a built-in fan and through-flow ducting, with total heat dissipation area expanded to 33,652 mm².
Gaming hardware includes 550Hz shoulder triggers, a 3049Hz touch rate, sub-5.5ms latency, a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 4nm chip, up to 24GB dynamic RAM and a 6,210mAh battery with 80W charging.
A 6.8-inch 1.5K AMOLED display runs at 144Hz with 4,500 nits peak brightness, while AI Copilot Demi 2.0 adds gaming coach, chatbot and auto-chat features.
Global rollout starts in Southeast Asia this July, with 256GB and 512GB variants in Surge Black and Glacial Silver and a five-year software update commitment.
