The Ultra has been the standout, accounting for roughly 70% of pre-orders and sales in several reports, and some Amazon listings show it selling through quickly with longer shipping times. Those are not typical signs of a product line struggling to find buyers. At the same time, the discounts are not meaningless. They reflect a tougher smartphone market, where global shipments are projected to contract sharply in 2026 and flagship prices remain high. The S26 starts around $900 at retail, and the Ultra around $1,300, so Amazon’s $100 to $270 cuts help widen the audience for expensive devices. In that sense, the promotions are also a practical response to consumer price sensitivity. The broader pattern suggests Samsung is using discounts selectively to keep momentum and steer buyers toward higher-margin premium models, especially the Ultra, rather than slashing prices because the S26 is failing. In short, the deals are best read as tactical promotions in a slowing market, but attached to a phone family that is, by most available sales measures, performing strongly.

$270 is now off Amazon’s unlocked Galaxy S26 lineup, with the biggest cut on the 256GB Galaxy S26 Ultra at $1,099.99 from $1,299.99.
The sale also drops the 256GB Galaxy S26 to $799.99 from $899.99 and the 256GB S26 Plus to $899.99 from $1,099.99, with no trade-in required.
Amazon is also discounting some higher-storage variants, including $200 off the 512GB Galaxy S26 in the White color option.
The deals target Samsung’s premium 2026 flagships, all of which carry Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chips, at least 12GB of RAM, AI features and seven years of software updates.
