That drop was real, and it was largely tied to Swift and Kelce’s July 3 Madison Square Garden celebration, which drew nearly 1,000 guests and pulled in many of the same celebrities who typically anchor Hamptons social events. But the Hamptons were far from deserted. Michael Rubin adjusted his annual White Party to July 1 in Bridgehampton specifically to avoid forcing guests to choose between his event and the wedding. That party still attracted major names, and some guests with ties to the couple attended both. Other high-profile Hamptons events also went ahead over the weekend, including Richie Akiva’s gathering, Surf Lodge events in Montauk, and local galas and public Fourth of July celebrations. The clearest reading is that the wedding disrupted the usual Hamptons hierarchy rather than draining it completely. Manhattan became the main celebrity magnet on July 3, while the Hamptons remained active through rescheduled parties, nightlife, and holiday programming. In effect, the weekend produced two elite circuits instead of one dominant Hamptons scene.
