FL Studio 2026 Upgrades Gopher to Execute Actions, Adds 60-Second Audio Logger

FL Studio 2026 turns Gopher from a help chatbot into an in-app assistant that can carry out production commands, such as building a drum pattern and adding effects.
Gopher still has limits: it cannot draw automation, insert notes or chords into melodic tracks, or choose specific plug-in presets, leaving some sound selection and composition tasks to users.
Flex, FL Studio’s built-in virtual instrument, was rebuilt with a lighter engine plus a new preset browser with stronger filters and genre categories.
Image Line also added automatic cloud project backups for FL Cloud subscribers and says Gopher is not trained on user data, keeping recording sessions private.
The release is available as a free upgrade, extending FL Studio’s long-running update model while pushing deeper AI-assisted workflow features into music production.
