Digimon Story: Time Stranger Hits 60fps Mode on Switch 2, but Version 1.2.1 Still Stutters

Summary
Switch 2 testing found Digimon Story: Time Stranger is a strong handheld port overall, with performance mode offering a 1080p 60fps target and quality mode targeting 1080p 30fps handheld or 4K 30fps docked.
Version 1.2.1 still leaves two major issues: quality mode has worse frame pacing than last year's PS5 and Xbox releases, and the 60fps mode drops below target in crowded or open areas.
Visual compromises include weak or absent anti-aliasing, softer foliage, shadows and textures, plus reduced texture filtering and some lighting changes in performance mode.
Even with those cuts, the reviewer called Switch 2 the favorite portable version over Steam Deck and ROG Ally, and said the Switch and Switch 2 editions are priced $10 below other platforms.
Bandai Namco is also patching existing versions with a new performance mode, leaving the Switch 2 port as a promising but still unfinished benchmark ahead of broader cross-platform comparisons.
