Spotify Expands Library Pinning to 20 Items After Years of User Requests

Summary
Spotify has rolled out a library update that lets users pin up to 20 playlists, albums, artists, podcasts and audiobooks at the top of Your Library on mobile and desktop.
The change lifts the old cap of four pinned items, where Liked Songs, New Episodes and Your Episodes had effectively dominated limited space for many users.
Mobile users can pin by pressing and holding an item, while desktop users can right-click in the left-side library and select pin; unpinning uses the same menu flow.
User reaction was mixed: some called the feature "life changing" for large libraries, while others said it arrived too late and renewed demands to hide podcasts and audiobooks.
The release follows Spotify's recent 20th-anniversary campaign, which highlighted users' listening history with first-streamed songs, top artists and all-time top songs playlists.
