Race Communications said it will start construction this fall on an all-fiber network in Fresno, initially reaching more than 38,000 homes and businesses with symmetrical upload and download speeds.
Fresno is the ISP’s next California expansion target as it deepens a broader statewide buildout; Race said it has invested more than $200 million in California in 2026 alone.
CEO Raul Alcaraz framed the move into California’s fifth-largest city as a Central Valley growth step, saying the company is targeting future-ready infrastructure where demand is strongest.
The Fresno project adds to a busy July for broadband providers, with peers announcing acquisitions, executive changes and new fiber builds in Georgia and the K-12 market.
