Pikachu-Shaped Firework Spins Out 5-Point Spark Shower at July 4 Gathering

Around 10 p.m., friends lit a Pikachu-shaped firework as the finale of a July 4 backyard gathering after saving it for last.
The novelty firework first looked like a weak fountain, then spun on the ground and shot sparks from five or six points, including its ears.
The box label only promised it would “spin on ground” and “emit showers of sparks,” offering little clue about the stronger finish.
After cooling in the street, the spent Pikachu was hit by an SUV and still remained largely intact, capping the stunt with an extra absurd twist.
