Summary
Two men — including a serving Ukrainian military intelligence officer — were charged with murdering 39-year-old Anastasiia Berezovska after her body was found buried in Kyiv region with gunshot wounds to the head.
SBU said Berezovska returned to Ukraine on July 1, two days after the June 29 parcel bombing in Monaco, and was killed on July 3 after meeting the suspects in a car on a highway.
Investigators said the two men had repeatedly sent money to Berezovska's crypto and bank accounts and were already being examined as possible accomplices in the Monaco attack; the intelligence officer later confessed to the killing.
Monaco prosecutors say Berezovska disguised herself as a man while casing and bombing the apartment building, where three people were injured, two seriously.
Authorities are still identifying other suspects in the cross-border case, which targeted a family widely reported to include sanctioned Ukrainian businessman Vadym Yermolaiev, once listed by Forbes at $230 million.
