$2 billion in international orders last year marked a sharp jump for Turkey’s state-run defense contractor Aselsan, up from $500 million in 2023, CEO Ahmet Akyol said.
Demand has been fueled by the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East, with Akyol saying the company’s international orders have doubled each year for the past three years.
Aselsan, valued at about $37 billion, disclosed the surge on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Ankara, underscoring how regional conflicts are lifting cross-border defense procurement.
