July is set to bring Apple’s first iOS 27 public beta, which should arrive after the third or fourth developer beta and will be free to install on supported iPhones.
iPhone 11 and newer models can enroll through beta.apple.com, then enable Beta Updates in Settings to download the release once Apple flips it live.
Apple is still warning that beta software can break apps, hurt performance and affect CarPlay, making a backup—or a secondary iPhone—the safer route.
Siri AI remains limited to iPhone 15 Pro and newer, with a waitlist that can take weeks, while iOS 27 also adds Liquid Glass design changes, performance upgrades and expanded child safety features.
Recent public betas launched between July 11 and July 24, including iOS 26 on July 24, 2025, pointing to a similar window for this year’s release.
