The $49.99 digital price also looks steep to critics given a campaign that reportedly lasts around two hours, especially when the underlying on-rails design remains close to its 1997 template. So the sharper criticism is not that Nintendo made a lazy remake, but that it chose to remake *Star Fox 64* again instead of funding a truly new *Star Fox*.
