John Fetterman said Bernie Sanders should apologize to Graham Platner’s alleged victims after Jenny Racicot accused the Maine Democratic Senate nominee of raping her about five years ago.
Racicot told Politico and CNN that Platner entered her home intoxicated, forced himself on her and ignored repeated attempts to stop, saying she realized “this is no longer my choice.”
Platner denied the allegation and said he was reflecting on the best path forward for his campaign, which Fetterman said was already under scrutiny over alleged Kik messages with women.
Elizabeth Warren and Ro Khanna have urged Platner to quit the race, but Sanders—who helped elevate him and campaigned with him on the “Fighting Oligarchy” tour—has not publicly responded.
