In practice, that means a Switch 2 owner can host a session and share access with a second player for the duration of that session rather than requiring both players to buy a copy. Locally, the host can use GameShare to invite a nearby player into the co-op session. Online, Orbitals will use Nintendo’s GameChat-based GameShare system, which is designed for Switch 2-to-Switch 2 sharing, allowing a remote friend to join without downloading or owning the game. As with Nintendo’s broader GameShare rules, the shared access ends when the session ends, and progress is typically tied to the host’s save data. That setup fits Orbitals’ design: the game emphasizes constant communication, with each player handling different tools and roles to solve puzzles and navigate the story together. Orbitals will ship with localized voice-overs in eight languages, as Kepler Interactive and Shapefarm also released the game's opening animation ahead of its September 3 Switch 2 debut.
