Summary
Craig and Lindsay Foreman have been denied medical care and embassy-sent supplies in Iranian detention, their family said, as the couple continue hunger strikes lasting nine and eight weeks.
Lindsay Foreman has lost more than 14kg and is suffering vertigo, tremors and severe weakness, while Craig Foreman has lost about 16kg after first striking when phone access was cut off.
Medication, glasses, books and basic hygiene products sent by the British Embassy in Tehran were withheld, which the family called a breach of a formal guarantee previously given to the British ambassador.
Joe Bennett, Lindsay's son, is due in Parliament on Wednesday to press MPs for action, saying the couple are starving themselves because every other route has been closed.
The East Sussex couple were detained in Iran in January 2025 while travelling the world, in a case widely seen as Tehran seeking leverage over the UK.
