Summary
Scopely has renamed Niantic to Scopely Explore and will roll out a new logo across its games in the coming weeks.
The rebrand follows Scopely's $3.5 billion acquisition of the Pokémon GO developer in March and coincides with Pokémon GO's 10th anniversary this week.
Scopely said Scopely Explore is not a separate company or subsidiary but a mission-driven team within Scopely that will keep developing and publishing its existing titles.
Pokémon GO, Pikmin Bloom and Monster Hunter Now remain part of that portfolio as Scopely frames the new name around exploration, outdoor play and community connection.
