Apple said Apple Intelligence camera features in the Home app on iOS 27, iPadOS 27 and macOS 27 Golden Gate will work only with iCloud+ plans starting at 2TB.
The requirement, disclosed in notes for the third macOS Golden Gate beta, covers AI tools that write motion-alert summaries, group footage across cameras, surface notable clips and support natural-language search.
The 2TB tier costs $9.99 a month and already allows unlimited HomeKit Secure Video cameras, while lower plans support one camera at 50GB and up to five at 200GB.
Apple had said at WWDC that some Apple Intelligence features would need iCloud+, but this is the first time it specified the Home app needs the 2TB tier or higher.
