Summary
World number 114 Arthur Fery beat Grigor Dimitrov 7-5 3-6 4-6 6-4 7-6 (10-7), rallying from two sets to one down to reach his first Grand Slam quarter-final.
The 23-year-old Briton held his nerve in a deciding 10-point tie-break after twice recovering from a break down in the fourth set on Centre Court.
That victory is the biggest of Fery's career, making him the first British wildcard to reach a Grand Slam quarter-final and the lowest-ranked men's Wimbledon quarter-finalist in 12 years.
Fery had never gone beyond the second round at a major before this run and is only the sixth British man in the Open era to reach the Wimbledon singles last eight.
Home hopes now rest with Fery, the last British singles player left in the draw, before a Wednesday quarter-final against ninth seed Flavio Cobolli.
