EU27 Non-Food Retail Turnover Falls 1.1% in April as Annual Growth Holds at 2.9%

Eurostat put the EU27 non-food retail turnover index at 123.0 in April 2026, down 1.1% from March on a seasonally and calendar-adjusted basis.
The same dataset still showed year-on-year growth of 2.9% versus April 2025, pointing to a monthly pullback against a stronger annual trend.
The figures came from Eurostat's TEIIS220 release published on July 3 and cover retail trade turnover excluding food items across the 27-member bloc.
