King Charles will not change a week of public engagements and private meetings to see Prince Harry, making a reunion during Harry’s UK visit increasingly unlikely.
Harry is due in Britain alone after deciding Meghan and their two children would not come to London over security fears, despite an offer to stay at a royal residence.
Buckingham Palace sources said Harry had not clearly communicated his plans or responded to the Buckingham Palace invitation, leaving any meeting "immensely difficult" less than 24 hours before arrival.
Harry, 41, lost taxpayer-funded UK security after stepping back from royal duties in 2020; he is still expected at Invictus, WellChild and other events in London and Birmingham this week.
