Summary
July 8 payments will go to Social Security beneficiaries born on the 1st through 10th, marking the first round of July 2026’s regular three-Wednesday schedule.
The SSA will send the next two rounds on July 15 for birthdays from the 11th to 20th and on July 22 for birthdays from the 21st to 31st; claims based on another worker’s record use that worker’s birth date.
July 2 payments already went to people who started receiving benefits before May 1997 and to recipients who also get Supplemental Security Income, while SSI itself was issued July 1.
That earlier Social Security date was moved up because the usual July 3 payment day fell on a federal holiday; average monthly benefits are $2,028 for retirees, $1,493.25 for disabled workers and $1,626.59 for survivors.
