Ford showed the side profile of its new Le Mans Hypercar in a social-media teaser for America’s 250th birthday, confirming a blue-and-white camouflage livery and V8 soundtrack.
The car uses a spec Oreca chassis but Ford’s own 5.4-liter V8, paired with the mandatory hybrid system for roughly 670 hp under Hypercar rules.
Ford has already named six drivers for its two-car 2027 Le Mans effort: Matt Campbell, Tom Blomqvist, Nick Yelloly, Logan Sargeant, Mike Rockenfeller and Sebastian Priaulx.
The program targets Ford’s first Le Mans overall win since 1969, with the automaker saying more details on the car will come later this year.
