TP-Link Deco BE77 Tops 1.7Gbps in Review as $550 Mesh System Challenges Eero Pro 7

Summary
$550 TP-Link's Deco BE77 delivered up to 1.7Gbps in Wi-Fi 7 testing and proved stable enough to emerge as a strong Eero Pro 7 alternative.
Against Eero's roughly 1.6Gbps peak, the BE77 was often faster at distance and handled seven simultaneous video streams, 400-600 Mbps game downloads, Plex playback and AirPlay 2 without noticeable hiccups.
Setup took about 10 minutes, but switching an existing network name and password left about half the reviewer's smart-home devices needing reconnection, and the large cylindrical hardware was harder to place discreetly.
TP-Link also differentiates the system with 10Gbps Ethernet, SFP+ and deeper app controls than many consumer mesh rivals, though its built-in smart-home interface is basic.
HomeShield add-ons start at $4.99 a month for security and $3 for parental controls, undercutting Eero Plus on entry pricing while still leaving subscriptions as a trade-off.
