21-year-old Alexandra Eala became the first Filipina to reach a Grand Slam second week, beating defending champion Iga Swiatek in 84 minutes on Centre Court for her first Wimbledon fourth round.
A 7-6(9), 6-2 win turned on Eala's clutch play in the opener: she saved two set points in the tiebreak, then broke twice early in the second set and closed on her third match point.
