The switch to a MediaTek M90 modem could also fix one of Pixel’s biggest real-world weaknesses by improving connectivity and efficiency. The problem is that the rumored GPU, a PowerVR CXTP-48-1536, is widely described as an older design dating back to 2021. If accurate, that would leave the Pixel 11 behind rival flagship chips from Qualcomm and Apple in raw graphics performance. AI can improve image processing, responsiveness, and software features, but it does not replace the rendering power needed for high frame rates, demanding games, or long-term graphics headroom. So the answer depends on the buyer. For typical Pixel users who value cameras, smart software, and everyday reliability, Google may successfully make the trade-off feel acceptable.
