Department for Education figures show 4% of Bradford's 16- to 18-year-olds were NEET or of unknown status, down from 4.1% a year earlier.
That rate stayed well below the Yorkshire and Humber average of 6.7% and the national average of 5.8%, indicating stronger engagement in education, work or training than most areas.
Bradford Council said the improvement reflects joint work by schools, colleges, training providers, employers and its SkillsHouse careers service, which helps young people move into study, apprenticeships and jobs.
Bradford has one of the country's largest youth populations, making the low NEET rate a notable marker of how the district supports young people, including more vulnerable groups, to stay connected to opportunities.
