Bronx Power Outages Hit 200-Plus Customers as 71 on Morris Park Avenue Face Partial Loss

Power problems began around 7 p.m. Thursday, leaving some businesses open but struggling with shut-off air conditioning, warm merchandise and uncomfortable conditions for workers and customers.
Williamsbridge residents said the outages also cut water and internet service, pushing some to haul in cold water or leave their homes to stay with relatives.
Con Edison said it had already assisted more than 450,000 customers, but repairs in Van Nest and other parts of the borough could continue through the day.
