Summary
Spike Chunsoft pushed Danganronpa 2x2 from 2026 to early 2027 and used its Anime Expo panel to unveil the new alternate scenario title, “Slayhem.”
Slayhem reworks the original killing game with different victims and culprits stemming from a key incident, and the studio said its content is roughly on par with — or about 20% larger than — the original mode.
Panel footage also showed upgraded backgrounds, a 3D overworld map and new character sprites, while the original version is getting visual and production-value improvements.
The game is planned for Switch 2, Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam, extending a Danganronpa 2 release line that began with the 2012 PSP debut in Japan.
