Summary
A Northern District of California filing shows Prosser asking for a jury trial while denying Apple’s claims that he joined a scheme to steal iOS 26 trade secrets.
Prosser admits he joined a FaceTime call where Michael Ramacciotti showed iOS 19 features on a development iPhone, but says he did not induce the disclosure and did not know the phone belonged to former Apple engineer Ethan Lipnik.
His response also denies that what he saw were trade secrets and says he holds no additional confidential Apple information, with his lawyer arguing Ramacciotti was “completely responsible” for any disclosure and resulting harm.
Apple sued Prosser and Ramacciotti in July 2025 after leaks appeared on Front Page Tech months before WWDC 2025; an anonymous tip later led Apple to investigate and fire Lipnik.
