Salmonella Outbreak Sickens 106 Across 14 Countries, Tied to Ukrainian Noodle Brand

Summary
106 confirmed Salmonella Stanley cases have been reported since November 2025 across 13 EU/EEA countries and the UK, with at least 49 hospitalizations and most infections in children and young adults.
EFSA and ECDC said flavored noodle products from the same brand are the most likely source after patients in five countries reported eating them and the outbreak strain was found in chicken-flavored products in Germany and Lithuania.
Investigators traced the products, distributed in several countries, to the same producer in Ukraine, pointing to possible contamination at plant level, though the root cause has not been established.
Affected countries have withdrawn and recalled implicated products, but authorities warned more cases may still emerge because the noodles have a long shelf life and may remain in household kitchens.
