Harvesters said Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s joint gift will fund 2 million meals across its 27-county service area in and around Kansas City.
Summer demand is especially acute because school closures cut off free and reduced breakfasts and lunches, while high grocery, gasoline and utility costs strain family budgets.
Valerie Nicholson, Harvesters’ interim CEO, said the pair had supported the food bank before and that Kelce had also volunteered there.
The donation comes as Swift and Kelce are reportedly set to marry this weekend in New York, with Children’s Mercy Hospital also disclosing a pre-wedding gift.
The couple has reportedly given $26 million to more than 20 organizations, extending a broader hunger-relief push that also included a $1 million gift to a Pennsylvania food bank.
