Jonathan Gresham said his recovery from two strokes in 2025 reshaped his priorities, pushing him to support young independent wrestlers as he keeps competing and producing shows.
Jan. 23 marked his in-ring return at Beyond Wildest Dreams, where he beat Ryan Clancy; this week he also wrestled Fuminori Abe at PRODUCE by Orange Crush's debut event.
Gresham said the health scare left him more open with people and more attuned to wrestlers he sees struggling to find direction on the independent circuit.
He argued constant online exposure now subjects prospects to instant fan criticism on YouTube and streaming platforms, undercutting the freedom earlier generations had to develop.
Orange Crush's second event is scheduled for July 16 at White Eagle Hall in Jersey City, part of the space Gresham says he wants to build for indie talent.
