GTA Online Doubles Acid Lab Payouts, Offers 4X FIB Rewards Through July 2

PC gamers are waiting because Rockstar and Take-Two are deliberately sticking to a console-first release strategy, even after GTA 6’s record-breaking pre-orders. GTA 6 is officially launching on November 19, 2026 only for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, with no PC date announced. Industry expectations place the PC version in late 2027 or early 2028, which fits Rockstar’s long-established pattern. Grand Theft Auto V reached PC about 19 months after its console debut, and Red Dead Redemption 2 arrived on PC roughly a year later. Take-Two has indicated this is a strategic choice, not a sign of weak demand on PC. The company’s leadership has said Rockstar prefers to serve its “core” audience on console first and make sure that launch is polished before expanding to other platforms. For a game as technically demanding as GTA 6, optimizing across the wide range of PC hardware adds time and complexity. There is also a strong commercial incentive. A staggered launch extends the game’s sales cycle, creates a second major release event, and can encourage some players to buy the game twice—once on console and later on PC. That approach has worked before, and the huge console pre-order numbers only reinforce Rockstar’s confidence in it. So the delay is less about technical impossibility than about Rockstar’s proven business model: launch on consoles, dominate the market, then return later with a PC version positioned as a fresh premium release.
