Not yet for most U.S. retail investors, and there is still no firm nationwide date. The clearest target is that NYSE’s planned tokenized-equities venue with Securitize was aiming for a launch as early as Q2 2026, with 24/7 trading including weekends, but actual access depends on SEC approval and operational rollout. The technology is largely ready. Securitize’s NYSE debut and the NYSE-Securitize partnership show that mainstream finance is now building infrastructure for tokenized stocks, with the goal of near-instant settlement and round-the-clock trading. Nasdaq has also received approval for tokenized stocks and ETFs, reinforcing that the market is moving in that direction. The main obstacle is regulation, not software. The SEC said in January 2026 that tokenized securities are still securities, meaning the same investor-protection and exchange rules apply. That is why many tokenized U.S. stocks available today are sold offshore under Regulation S and exclude American retail investors. So the practical answer is: retail investors may get that ability once SEC-cleared U.S. platforms such as the NYSE’s tokenized trading system actually go live for the public. That could begin in phases after the planned 2026 launch window, but broad Saturday-night trading in names like Apple or Tesla is not yet broadly available in the U.S. as of July 2, 2026. The likely path is limited pilots first, then wider retail access if regulators sign off.
