Summary
A new Galaxy Z Fold 8 leak points to a wider 4:3 foldable with a 7.6-inch inner display, a 5.5-inch cover screen and a 4.5mm unfolded thickness.
The rumored hardware includes Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, 12GB of RAM, up to 1TB of storage and a larger 4,800mAh battery.
Samsung could also cut weight to about 200 grams, while keeping 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED 2X panels and adding a camera setup led by a 50MP main and 50MP ultra-wide sensor.
The redesign would position the regular Fold 8 more directly against Apple's expected foldable iPhone, while Samsung is also said to be shifting its former standard Fold branding to a Fold 8 Ultra.
Samsung has not formally announced its summer Galaxy Unpacked event, but Instagram teasers suggest the foldable launch could come later this month.
