Wrocław Jobless Total Jumps 42.6% to 10,268 as May Pay Falls 2.9%

10,268 registered unemployed people were recorded in Wrocław at end-May, up 3,066 from a year earlier, while the unemployment rate held at 2.5% after rising from 1.8% a year ago.
PLN 9,904.47 average gross monthly pay in the enterprise sector was down 2.9% from April, with the sharpest monthly drops in arts and recreation, professional services, and industry.
194,900 enterprise jobs were effectively flat month on month, down 300 from April but up 1,200 from May 2025; construction posted the strongest annual employment growth, while information and communication fell most.
1,086 job offers reached labour offices in May, equal to 33.6% of Lower Silesia's total, leaving eight unemployed people per offer versus nine a month earlier and 17 regionally.
Comparisons with periods before June 2025 may be affected by a new labour-market law that changed registration and job-offer reporting rules.
