Summary
Tuesday’s rollout gives Marines a mobile guide to uniform and grooming standards, turning frequently used rules into a faster, easier reference than the full regulation.
The app is meant to supplement—not replace—MCO 1020.34, a 263-page order the service said remains the source for comprehensive policy and detailed guidance.
Six home-screen categories cover male and female officers, enlisted Marines, and grooming standards, with each uniform entry showing when it is worn and what components are required.
Individual uniform pages include full images, tappable items, reference photos, wear instructions and the applicable regulation, while grooming guides use dropdown menus to narrow standards by category.
The app is available now in Apple’s App Store, and the Marine Corps expects an Android version in fiscal 2027.
