Tied 2-2 in the seventh, Cleveland rookie Cooper Ingle caught a fly ball for the second out, then threw it into the stands as if the inning had ended, allowing Ezequiel Duran to score.
That mental lapse put Texas ahead 3-2, and the Rangers went on to win 4-2 at Progressive Field.
Ingle, 24, had debuted only Friday and finished 0-for-4 with three strikeouts after entering 2026 as MLB's No. 99 overall prospect and Cleveland's No. 3 prospect.
